I striped and cleaned my new 9mm PC II and found it to be very dirty with some wear on the rails. That made me wonder if anyone knows about the number of rounds do the fire at the factory?

I don't know, but I have 1600 rounds through my PC II and there is no wear on the rails at all.

Certainly not enough to cause wear. I'd talk to the dealer you bought it from first, and then I'd call Kimber.

Send pix to kimber. Dealer generally know very little or bs you to make happy for future sales. Unless the dealer also runs a smith shop.

There is no set amount they shoot per unit.
If there was an issue with it, more rounds went through.

Is there an indoor range associated with the dealer you
got this from? ..........Its been done before.....shoot n' buy.

My concern was more that they had a problem with it, I am not worried about the wear as I know that there will always be some during the break in period. My CDP II showed similar wear after about 50 rounds. I hope to shoot it Tuesday and will know then.
