Sounds like you're going to have some fun. As far as your question, the answer is maybe. My Kimber has never had any issues and a lot of others have had the same experience. There is also people that experience failures to feed or eject. The good news is the guns that experience problems usually run fine after the 500 round break in period. Be sure you have thoroughly cleaned and lubed your new gun as per your owners manual and you should be fine. Report back tomorrow and let us know how it went!

My Pro Carry has had one fail to feed out of 1100 rounds. That happened around 750. So, I wouldn't expect anything but surprising accuracy.

Have you replace the recoil spring in it yet? Kimber recommends replacing the pro model springs at 800 rounds, FTF could be the sign of a weak spring.

My new UA2 had a couple stovepipes around the 180 mark. Cleaned at 200. I clean her about every 30-40 now, or just because. I've put about 6-700 thru so far, and she's running fine.
So, I'd say don't be pissed if there's an issue till you get past 2-250 rounds. Have fun!

Don't worry about how tight a group you shoot. Just have fun. At 30' if I keep 100 rounds in the 9 ring I'm doing ok. Practice will make it better, but mostly I'm there to have fun. I highly recommend it.
