LURKERS BEWARE!

Oh yeah, it's easy and free to sign up to this forum but you have no idea what it will cost you in the long run.

Here are some money saving tips for you newbies.

1. When you are perusing a thread and come across an enticing picture of a handgun, scroll past it quickly and don't read the following reviews. Failing to do so could result in a subliminal and uncontrollable urge to go out and purchase that handgun. $$$$

2. Choose your friends carefully. If you see someone's signature at the bottom of their post and it has a long list of Kimber firearms, you want to put that person on your "IGNORE" list immediately. You can be sure that he will be posting many beautiful pictures and reviews of his handguns. (See #1.).
If you are retired and living on a fixed income this fella will not be helping your budget. He is not your friend. $$$$

3. Don't even trust the moderator. Even though he may seem and look mild mannered, he can be detrimental to your budget. He will sneak in seemingly harmless reviews of power enhancing accessories which may cause a chronic case of "got a have it". Watch out for this guy. $$$$

4. And just when you thought you had a good handle on all the tempting gun porn you get blindsided by these knife guys. They prefer getting up close and personal. They can be the most dangerous of all. They will nickel and dime you to death with high DEF color photos of their gleaming blades that they've polished down to a one molecule wide edge. LOOK AWAY!!!! $$$$

5. As soon as you're done signing up and registering; IMMEDIATELY put this one fella on your ignore list. "ChattanoogaPhil" he's the ringleader of this gang of budget busters.
He alone has cost me thousands of dollars just from gun accessories alone. Here are just a few examples: expensive mini laser/light combo's, expensive grips, whole house generators and suppressors. $$$$
And a sidenote, don't ask him any questions unless you want the cold hard truth. Don't say I didn't warn you.
YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH!

6. And lastly if you come across a post in your thread that seems unintelligible and irrelevant to the topic don't worry you're not suffering a stroke. It's probably just the embellished memories of a particular SENIOR member who doesn't read or comprehend the previous posts and thus just adds any random, unrelated memory that pops into his head.
My guess is they are excerpts from his soon to be released book "Memoirs of a Sicilian Biker".
I won't mention his name but his title suggests he's one who's just a visitor, unfamiliar with the rules and customs. ??WTF??

Ha!

Ok... I plead guilty to some of the accusations. But regarding brutal honesty... How would you answer someone who puts cheap poser ivory grips made of melted Pringles lids on a beautiful polished blued Colt Defender and asks: Whatcha think for a BBQ?

What was I supposed to say... Looks cool bro. ? :D
Not your fault lol if someone is going to ask a question they better have thick skin and be prepared to hear something they may not like

Well Phil I would say that it reminded me of my first wedding when my tuxedo costs $300 and then the guy talked me into renting white patent leather dress shoes.....:)

At least Cuca changed the grips to the real ivory grips while I still have to look how hideous I looked when I open that wedding album.

I think I can say with confidence that Phil would not have let that happen to you. He don't pull no punches.

Now those Pringle lid grips would've been fine for EDC or at the range however if I was exposed at a barbecue with poser grips I can only imagine the utter shame and horror I would've experienced. Thank you Phil, I really appreciate it buddy.
On the other hand, in the thread where the question came up, I gave Marshall a chance to talk me into buying the real bone grips and all I heard were crickets.

You're welcome. Pringles poser grips is no way to BBQ. I think we can all here agree on that.

Go easy on Marshall. He's probably jonesing for a dip real bad.

Marshall should change his avatar.
