I am very pleased with my first 1911. Have not been to the range yet. I like to clean and lube before that. Yes I know to post pictures and I will soon. 馃幆

Ultras are awesome!
Hand down the BEST compact 1911 in that price market and I think on the whole Kimber roster.

I would recommend that you pick up a spare recoil assembly. I'm not sure of the availability but for a while they were a little hard to find.

I bought several for 9mm and .45 Ultra's recoil assembly's from a legit "Kimber Dealer" on eBay. They had them when all other sources were dried up. I don't recall the name but sure an eBay search would find it. Prices was a few bucks more than getting from Kimber but they were in stock. That's if Kimber don't have them available, I haven't checked, I have a stock pile.

Recently picked up a Kimber 3" Raptor Ultra Carry II.
Best part I only paid $875 for a like new Raptor a guy had just traded in at Bass Pro in Orlando Florida. Bass Pro had only just that week had to been told to start doing trade ins on new gun sales. All they wanted to do was get what they had in it back. This thing doesn't have a scratch on it.

Comes with Tritium night sights. In this picture you can also see that Ed Brown extended slide release that I purchased years ago for my Par Ordnance C6. Had to try it on the Raptor. Lot smoother quick changing mags and not losing site.
