Just picked up my first Kimber a couple weeks ago. I've wanted one for a long time, but couldn't afford it. Then when I could, seemed like the quality went downhill. Patiently waited and saved up till I found one I had to adopt. The Ultra Aegis II. I did the initial strip, clean & lube. I'm almost at 300 rounds into the break in period. She had a couple stovepipes (with Federal target 115gr) around the 180 mark. Cleaned her up and she hasn't had any problems. I really like this pistol. Light crisp trigger, slender, and the look. The one thing that bugs me is 'only one mag' included. It's proving a challenge to find more mags. This will probably be my summer carry, I'll be done breaking her in by spring. I just need more than one mag.

Anyhow, hello there Kimber aficionados.

Here's some of my adoptions, so far. Sig 938, a fore mentioned Kimber, & Sig C3.

Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois Fleamac. That's a nice collection you have there, my son just picked up that same Sig C3 two weeks ago at Cabela's. Do you know anything about that particular model? He couldn't find it listed on Sig's website they show the C3 but not with the CrimsonTrace laser or magwell. The MSRP for the plain C3 is $1042 and he bought it new in box with 2 mags, laser and magwell for $993.00. The salesman said it was a part of a special run Sig made but didn't know anything else about it.

Thanks for the welcome. That's a fair price your son paid. The C3 is a great gun. It's my EDC in an Alien Gear holster. I've had it for a few years now, and it's still all stock. Bought it new the way you see it. I wanted a Kimber, but buy the time I added the mag well and CT grips, & night sights, it was out of the budget. But obviously, I've remedied that problem. The C3 eats anything I feed it, has a light crisp trigger, fits comfortably in my hand, and is more accurate than I am. And I haven't even polished the feed ramp! I've put about 1500 rounds through the pipe and haven't had an issue, and can't tell you of anything to watch out for. Hell, the laser hasn't needed adjustment! It just works flawlessly.
