Im not helpless and im sure this is no sweat. But in the spirit of forum comradery and just being active on the forum ill ask.

My custom II gov. model needs front grip. Going to the board shop tomorrow to get my tape.

Is there a certain measurement or pattern I can utilize?

Any pics of do-it-yourselfers out there you care to share?

I haven't done it but I know there are grip tape kits for 1911s. Here is one that goes under the grips.

Ok, now I imagined exacto Knife and clean cuts. But that pic of the grips removed is perfect. hide any slack or mistakes under the grips. Thanks Porche
