Grips with matching 1911 Knife

I ordered a set of mag well cut grips from Brown's Custom Grips. He also makes knives to match. Check out the detail on the knife....the screws. The button that is a mag release button. Engraved with M1911. Pretty sweet.

This is a different wood than I ordered but it's a good pic of the knife and matching grips.

So did you get grips and a knife?
Wow I really like that knife. I just checked out there website and will be ordering one. thanks for posting!!
No I didn't. Between the grips, mag well, mags and recoil spring kit, the piggy looks like a refugee from a concentration camp.

I will, but based on the price of the grips, that knife won't be cheap.

Reading the many testimonials though, Adam Brown is a real craftsman. I think he'd be a good resource when you have some extra cash for something special.
I've seen a couple of shops that sell those knives, I think they look good sitting next to a 1911. I have a couple of working knives, I carry one everyday and as far as a practical knife goes that fat handle and blade shape just wouldn't work for me.
This is the wood for the grips I ordered. Red Morrell.

Good looking grips. Can't wait to see your gun when everything is installed!

Great looking grips. Front strap checkering will be helpful with those smooth grips. But they are beautiful.

Don't worry, I'll post a beauty shot once I get the grips. I need to find a girl in a bikini to hold it though.

I got the one-piece MSH mag well yesterday and it is very nice looking. It looks much better then the (shhh....plastic) stock MSH, but the fine checkering matches in count. Machined steel and plastic just look different.

I like the classic styling of a 1911 and don't want to go too overboard with changes...(don't mess with success) but the burl wood I think still looks mainstream, considering Kimber offers wood grips standard on some models. Personally, I don't care for skull grips and naked lady grips-not that there's anything wrong with that.

I guess I'll find out if the gun jumps out of my hand and shoots the guy next to me. I have a stainless Pro Carry II. The front strap is smooth as a babies butt.

Live and learn as I always say. Except at the gun range....

I have the same gun. I'm curious to see how the smooth grips work out too! Plus......I want to see what it looks like!

I just sent the check yesterday, so two weeks is the expected turnaround.
My expectation is that the gun will look somewhere between superfine (as it is now) and drop dead gorgeous (as it is now).:)

Have you been drinking? You're not making any sense tonight!

Maybe you should slow down. Like I said you're not making much sense tonight.
FYI! Ordered me a 1911M Standard with Satin 440c blade and Rosewood grips.
Google "Gunner Products 1911 folder knife". May not be only source. Showed on web as on sale. Mine was $99.00 with free shipping. If you want to pay the big boy price they have some all the way up to $500.00 that have Ivory grips. Confirmed paypal at 6:21 and twenty five min. later received email that my order had shipped. Also liked the looks of the one with blacked out blade...may get one of those later.
