What are they like these days? Any bargins, good deals? I don't really expect any. Going to a show tomorrow for the first time in several years.

No deals, not even on jerky. Once in a while I see a good deal on powder.

As far as I'm concerned, gun shows are a great way to see some guns that you then buy on the internet. Know what you want and what the prices are before you go in.

Personal rant- when gun dealers have a table and then a sign that says don't touch the guns. WTF? It's a gun show, for God's sake. If you don't want the guns to be touched, don't put them out.

There are no deals at gun shows that you can't get online or through your local dealers. I go to most of them to get out of the house, and get some exercise. If I see some ammo at a good price and I am low on it I will buy. I like giving my business to the local people, rather than the show people.

The gun shows around here are where you go to buy the ammo that a group of old retired guys buys up when they see it in local stores. This is for real, they continually hit all the local stores in the morning a couple of days a week and when they find ammo they call each other to come over to buy it because there's usually a box limit. Then they resell it at inflated prices at the local shows.

We need to know who these people are and where they live. We can raid their house when the SHTF.

I do gun shows to buy powder as there are no local places to buy and you buy on lone you have to pay the hazmat fee unless you are able to find and afford a lot of powder it drives the cost up.

You guys nailed it. No real deals. Not many "collectors" selling guns, at least not guns I would want. A few nice pre-lock Smith & Wessons way high dollar. Several old Kimbers, all looking really rough, priced higher than there original MSRP. There was a lot of junk pocket knifes, unmarked magazines, cheap flashlights. One lady was selling brownies mixed in with the junk guns they had. Another guy wanted $6.00 for a bag of fried pork skins. Lot of people carrying around rifles and shotguns. It was not a big show so I was not real surprised. Plus side I did get out of the house and get a little exercise this morning for a few hours.
