How many of ya'll have ever used your Kimber or any other handgun for hunting? I have used a Smith and Wesson Model 696 .44 Special to take rabbits and a small 4 point buck. I have taken a 105 lb doe with my Kimber Custom Stainless II.

Took the photo and then shot this doe at 35 yards with my Kimber .45 from a ground blind. Shot in center of chest. Dropped in it's tracks!! I have also shot a huge bobcat with a Smith and Wesson M&P40 full size pistol!

Are there any other handgun hunters out there?

Took a buck with my S&W 629 Classic .44 mag. Have wondered if a .45 would be good for pigs. Might be kind of a long shot for a .45.

I've taken 2 antelope and a mule deer with my Thompson Contender chambered for the .357 Herrett. The mule deer was my longest pistol shot at 187 yards, he took 3 steps and collapsed.

I've shot several skunks in my yard with my Browning Buckmark. Does that count?
Maybe, did you have a hunting license, did you actually hunt them, was it a fair chase, did you skin and eat them?

No to all of the above! Guess it was just pest control!
That's not called pest control the way you did it, it's called poaching.

A quick visit to the Ohio DNR website and I found this............

Fox, raccoon, skunk, opossum, and weasel: No daily bag limit. No restrictions on hours except during the seven-day deer gun season (Dec. 2 - Dec. 8, 2013). These species may not be hunted between 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset during the deer gun season. Hunters must purchase a hunting license and a fur taker permit to hunt these species.

I also found this on the same page.......

Turn In a Poacher
Ohio's Turn In a Poacher (TIP) program helps to control poaching throughout the state. Citizens who observe wildlife violations should call the TIP toll-free hotline, 1-800-POACHER.

LOL, now I have the lyrics for Bad Boys stuck in my head.

Bad boys, bad boys whatcha gonna do?
Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?

Seven day deer hunting? That's not a season. How quaint. I guess they do that just so they can say they have a deer season too.

You can laugh it off if it makes you feel better or if you feel that a piddley law like that doesn't apply to you. I was brought up to take conservation and game laws no matter how small they may seem seriously. If anybody thinks that they're above the law or that some laws don't pertain to them then I feel sorry for them.

Did it ever occur to you that I was joking? Lighten up!
