Just wanted to say I love this site. Lots of wisdom on here. Looking to gather as much as I can. Love my Pro Raptor ll. I know, just wanted to make my user name a little shorter. Been saving for 3 months for another Kimber. I really like the Pro Carry. Just wonder if the aluminum frame will hold up as long as the steel one on my Pro Raptor ll has.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois lovemyraptor. From what I've read about aluminum frames they should be good for 30,000 - 40,000 rounds. Unless you're a serious competition shooter and that's the only gun you're going to be shooting I wouldn't worry about it, that's more then 10 times what the average shooter will shoot in his lifetime.

Welcome from Florida I have a PRO CPD II wit the aluminum frame and no wear problem in about 800 rounds, the feed ramp got nasty for a wile but has stayed the same since then.

welcome to the group. Don't worry about over shooting the frame. If you do wear it out, just ask Kimber for another one!! :)
