Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. Been a Kimber fan for a long time and have owned a bunch of 84Ms over the years, mostly Montanas.
First Kimber was a Montana in 308 Winchester:
Next came a Montana in 243 Winchester:
Then I bought my first wood/blued Classic in 260 Remington. (no pictures)
After that I picked up a Montana that had been rebarreled from 257 Roberts to 250 Savage Ackley Improved.
When they released the Montana in 223 I picked one of those up and had it punched 223 Ackley. No pics of it either.
Picked up a SVT in 223 at one point:
Next I picked up a Montana in 204 Ruger. The original plan was to make a 300 Blackout out of it, but I shot the donor and fell in love. Stupidly I traded it away and I'm currently looking for one, so if you see one, please let me know! No pics either.
Then I decided to build the ultimate (in my opinion) Montana. I picked up a Montana in 7-08 and sent it off to have it rebarreled with a 6mm 7.25 twist Broughton tube chambered in 6XC. I sent it to Eddie Fosnaugh at Fosnaugh Customs to have him paint the stock and cerakote the barreled action. The Broughton barrel is slightly heavier than the factory barrel and handles like a dream. I'll probably own this one until the day I die or give it to one of the kids.
Also owned on Kimber pistol over that time. A SIS Pro. Was a great pistol that ran flawlessly!
