Hello, all. I've been actively shooting and acquiring guns for about 5 years now and have a variety of 1911s, but today I just bought my first Kimber ... a Super Carry Ultra+. Looking forward to taking it to the range now.

Hope to learn a lot from the other Kimber owners here.

Welcome to the forum from Illinois winni-laker. Congratulations on getting a Super Carry ultra+, you're going to love it. I hope you've read your owners manual and give it a good cleaning and lube before heading off to the range. Using the factory suggested 230gr. FMJ loads to break it in should make for a good time.

Welcome to the forum . I also have an Super Carry Ultra Plus.
Go through the break in process. I had a few issues prior to completing the break in so I took mine to a local gunsmith and resolved a issues.
Your going to love that pistol.

Welcome

I have a new Super Carry Ultra that has just gone back to Kimber because the ejector broke off on my very first range visit. Fired 100 rounds without a problem, and when I broke it down for cleaning the ejector fell on the table. Not a very happy Kimber owner right now. But, they will fix it and I'll try again. Good luck.

Thanks!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.

I cleaned and lubed the new Kimber this morning and took it to the range this afternoon to put 100 rounds of 230 gr. JRN ammo through it. It fired and ejected every round perfectly. I have rather large hands and the full-length grip feels great. For a 1911 with a 3" barrel, the Super Carry Ultra + is very accurate. This pistol will be an excellent carry gun, so I'm a happy new Kimber owner!

Hello! Just spent some time on the east coast and loved it! From Washington State and i must say i enjoyed the weather and coast on that side more than this side, at least up here in the rain....
