Checking in from New Orleans and I'm on a search for my next pistol. Now here is the thing I can't believe I'm going to spend $1500.00 + on a pistol and its not about the need but more of the want.

Anyways here is the pistol I'm looking for Kimber America | Master Carry Pro
Now if I could just find a deal on one ?

Welcome to the forum from StLou...
If ya can't believe you're spending $1500 on a Kimber pistol, just wait until you find another and then another...
Kimbers and Lays potato chips have one thing in common....

You just can't have one...:)

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois rm2092, I was after the same Kimber for ages and when I couldn't fine one I bought the Super Carry Pro. It's basically the same gun, the difference being the MC has the Crimson Trace grip.

Welcome to the site from Tennessee! You can find them on Gunbroker.com and GunsAmerica.com however they may not all be "good deals".

I took a quick look on GunBroker and they had several MC Pros for $1200-$1300ish. I just bought a gun last week on GunBroker and was very happy with the seller and experience. The Kimber I bought was $2020.00 MSRP and I found it for $1,729.00.00 new on GunBroker. Good luck.

By the way, welcome from Kentucky. And, if you wind up in the bayou feeding marshmallows to gators with a guide named Captain Pete, tell him PorscheVille wants his ear back.

Good luck finding the Master Carry for what you want to pay. That is a fine looking pistol. I really like those grips.:D:D I'm looking for something similar for my Pro Carry II. Enjoy your Kimber when you find it. Send us pictures and a range report. We love pics and statistical stuff. Be safe!!;);)

Thanks for all the feedback, today at work between jobs I'll pass by one other store that has plenty of stock, still undecided if I really need to spend that kind of money ?

Only you can decide that. But I'm a master of justifying spending money on things I want but don't really need. For example, $1500 is, let's say only 1/20th the cost of a new car which will be junk in 10 or 12 years....that gun will be something your great-grandson or great-granddaughter will have 100 years from now and will cherish as a keepsake and a piece of family history.

Just last night, I bought Mother's Day dinner for 7 at a restaurant which was about $200.00. You know where that dinner ended up a few hours later.....

I just like to think that a gun is something that will never wear out or go out of style like clothes, or shoes. It is something of lasting value, something that brings many hours of enjoyment, keeps the mind sharp AND could also save your life. You can't put a price on that.

In fact, buy two guns.

You know I have had the same thoughts at times. If I have a gap between runs today I'll be making a stop ?
