Hi Gang...

Got my first Kimber... the Warrior SOC.... so figured I stop by to see what is happening..

Not new to weapons... Owned all types since 1978... First 1911 was a Colt Govt 45 MK IV Series 70 bought back in around 1979.... Still have it. My topic above says how I feel about this state and how it's ran politcally... We have crazy gun restrictions here and are one of the worse int he country...

Anyway, retired field tech among other things and always looking for new toys. Got the itch for a 1911 so when I saw the SOC, I fell in love. Not really a fan of lasers, but love the rest and the laser can stay for now... ;)

Hope to learn some of the trials and tribulations of Kimber....
Cheers for now... :)

Regards,

John aka BHunted

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois John, congratulations on the new Warrior. I'm not a fan of lasers either, fortunately yours is rail mounted so it's easily removed or put back on.

Thanks guys....

Don't mind the laser too much but it makes it hard to find a compatible holster.... too bad it's not a qd mount of sort...

I've poked around a little and haven't come up with a good holster option yet for mine. I haven't done a of research yet though. Tucker Gun Leather told me they would make one but I'd need to send them the laser for a week or so to mount on a dummy gun to get the pattern. It seems to be my best option but I haven't pulled the trigger (yes, punn intended). If you find one, let me know.

Don't have too many trials to share. More jubilation. I love my Kimber....it's tight, accurate and drop dead sexy to boot.

Sorry about your State brother. What they are doing is a shameless afront to the Constitution and to all law-abiding sportsmen.

Welcome from the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Spent a few hours looking in every nook and cranny.... I'll fig something out and let everyone know for sure.

Again, thanks all for the welcome... :)

How New Jersey treats law abiding citizens is criminal!! :(:( There are people passing laws to control guns that don't even know which end the bullet comes out!!:confused: Enjoy your new Kimber, hang in there and do everything you can to get more knowledgeable legislators elected. ;);)

For sure... most of us are constantly pushing back. We are starting to get the upper hand, but it's a long uphill battle.
