I'm saving my money for the parts to build an AR...GiGi's brother said he could build one better than I could buy.Although me and my better half will split the cost since it was her idea to buy one...The girl wants BIG guns I tell ya....loco senoritaGorgeous, but very steep!

If you like to tinker, sure, build one. In my book I'd rather buy one complete. We have a S&W MP 15 and I love it. Should have bought a Daniel Defense to support the Georgia economy, but they were pricey.
In the end that's what we will do.As much as I would love to make it myself, her brothers schedule is packed.I looked at the S&W MP 15 online and that is sharp...Make sure you always stay on her good side!

It helps to have 2 good salesman on the forum...{wink wink}Freedom Munitions is getting to be real popular on this forum.
We added quite a few pistols to the family last/this year and have been looking at that same model.{S&W M&P-15}We have not ever owned one but GiGi's brother is somewhat of a gun geek when it comes to the AR and has told us he will teach us everything we need to know about them...That's a real beauty. If I really, really wanted it and had the money I think I might grab it.On the subject of AR-15's,I am also a satisfied owner of a S&W M&P-15.It's a simple and reliable rifle.I would recommend it to anyone.I just got some 5.56 from Freedom Munitions and am going to run that through.I normally shoot .223 through it.
When I got my rifle in 2010 there was a panic going on due to the "annointed one",so I got eight 30 rd.mags from various sources to go with it.At the time we didn't know if there would be mags or ammo for it in the future.Actually,at the time we didn't know if AR style rifles would be available in the future either. If you get an AR, get as many hi cap mags as you can. They may make good barter in the future.
I hear that. Probably still a little questionable in the future.
