I like this so much I want to chop down an Uberti .45lc. birdshead and lose the ejector.

I say go for it, could make for an interesting project.

I hope my wife shares your enthusiasm.

I'm still trying to think of a way to justify to her why we should buy a new $500 cowboy gun and cut it up...lol

I like this idea.

I should call my gunsmith buddy and see what the damages would be.
That's beyond my bubba Smith skills.

This is how Heritage should have made the Barkeep.
It is balanced much better.
I cant believe some knuckle head CEO thought plowhandle grips would be the better default on a 2.5 inch gun.
