WillyD, which one did you install because I don’t see any Kimber kits on their website ?

 

I put the Sig P238 kit in one of my Kimber Micro 7 rnd mags and it has performed without issue since installing. Easy to install too !!

 

Please let us know how they workout at the range.

 

I used the Sig P238 conversion kits for my Micro .380. And I sure will let you know how it works out. With all the people who have all ready done it with no problems I sure its going to work out fine.

...I haven't seen a report of it working but I'g guess the kit they make for a Sig P938 will work with your Kimber magazines. Just be sure it's a kit to fit a Sig 7 round magazine.

 

You had me going for a minute, Mark. Magguts makes kits for the Sig P238, not the P938.

 

AHHH, good eyes Rusty. I was ASS U ME ing the kit was available. Am I correct in the thought that the magazines for a Sig P938 will function in a Kimber Micro 9???

 

The 7 rd Sig works with the micro 9, but you have sand a bit off the the top of pinky extension. I've found that the Sig mags work better in my micro 9 than the Kimber mags.

 

Thanks Wayne, the .380 extended mags require a similar modification as I recall.
I'm surprised to find MagGuts hasn't put together a kit for the P938 yet.

 

I've read about conversion kits like these since the 1970s when Wolff brought out his spring kits. He told me on the phone in the thickest accent since "Hogan's Heroes" to load all my magazines for two weeks before I shot them.

I even tried kits with new floor plates and followers.

I decided to buy standard magazines for every pistol I had, keep them clean, leave them alone and simply pack an extra magazine if I felt the situation called for it.

I modified an 8-round Sig P290 magazine and baseplate to fit my Micro 9. Since this photo was taken, I've bobbed the back of the 8-round baseplate, making it more rounded to better fit my palm.
