Hello everyone and excited to be a part of forum. I recently purchased a couple of Kimber rifles from a gentleman that told he got them from the owner of the shop that manufactured stocks for Kimber rifles. As part of that agreement Kimber gave him these two rifles. They both have very low serial numbers and when I called Kimber they were unable provide any information. The Model 84 is .222 rem mag with serial number SS4. The model 82 is .22 Hornet with Serial number H1. Both have been shot and are not in perfect condition but mechanically function well. I have attached pictures and would really appreciate everyone's thoughts on year manufactured, what specific models these are and value in their current condition.

I'm sure a few of our rifle aficionados will be along shortly to help with your question. I just want to say thank you for sharing what are obviously very early examples from Kimber. I think you made a great find.
thank you Jflytle, I agree and was excited to find them. I'm not much of a shooter but I love collecting guns that make for great conversations and have great stories. My hope is both of these will do just that!

@langenc pretty sure the OP is not selling his Kimber rifles and he has not been online since July 20th of this year.
