I'm considering the purchase of a used Kimber Custom CDP II (full length slide). The seller provided me with an 8 digit serial number, which according the Kimber (888-243-4522) isn't valid.

• For those with a similar pistol, does your pistol have a 7 or 8 digit serial number?
• If you have a recently manufactured CDP II, is your serial number close to K7413385?

I looked at a bunch on GB, NIB, and they all have seven digit numbers. But----here's one with an eight digit number. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=375397716 It's a Pro model though-4" barrel.

Even better news- this looks like the gun you are planning on buying (one number off), and it looks like the seller added, by mistake, a 7 at the beginning of the serial number. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=375961619

Mine has a KR...... with six numbers following.

I have the Ultra CDP II, and my serial # starts with KU and 5 numbers
