Just took my new K6s 4" Target to the range and, of course, its functioning was flawless. Except - it's point of impact (POI) was consistently a couple of inches below the bullseye at 20 feet. Understand this Kimber and I are just getting acquainted and I may be the problem here, but I do need to know how to adjust the rear sight should further controlled range firing indicate an adjustment is required. The operating manual makes no mention of sight adjustments. The rear sight appears to be from a Bo-Mar design so here's my question: Since the K6s elevation screw does not click to provide the standard Bo-Mar click-to-inches POI adjustment, what would be the adjustment formula for this K6s - one quarter turn moves the POI 0.5 inches, for example?

Thanks for your help.

I'd just take it out and shoot it, make those adjustments right there as needed at the range YOU specify. And if you write down what the adjustments turned out to be, you'll be able to make precise POI adjustments at home if wanted once the values are known. Been doing it that way for over 50 years, seems to work just fine.

Good luck, you'll have it sorted out and shooting to POA in less than 15 minutes. :)

Got a call thru today to Kimber Customer Service and was told that one quarter turn for both elevation and windage screws moves the POI one inch using the standard Bo-Mar clockwise/counterclockwise turn formula.
That's fine and dandy, but did you ask them at what range those values apply?

One inch at 100 yards? At 50? At 25? Guess you still need to go out and shoot it to find out.
