Hey all,
What say all of you in regards to Kimber Mags? I'm told that they are crap and some folks say that they are the finest on earth. I have not had either of my Kim's long enough to really be the judge- but I have had them long enough to realize that I would like more than what the gun comes with.

I have seen some other Brands that are a lot more money.. I don't have any issue spending extra money when I need to.. I just don't want to throw it away. I'll post up some pics later on today.

Thanks.

Hey all,
Thanks for all of the replies! I will shoot what I have and hope for the best. I think I have SOME of the chip Mc Cormick mags for my Sig.380. I could be wrong there so don't hold me to it.

I made a Mistake by going into another shop today for a holster(for the gun I bought yesterday) and ended up with another Sig P238(equinox).

I will let you all know how I do this weekend..
Thank you for all of the helpful suggestions and the link!

Wifey agrees?
hahaha I don't have one of those.(wifey) weak Discipline? that I have plenty of.

My last GF used to get on me about buying too much stuff.. so I started to buy her some trinkets too... not a peep out of her did I hear after that.

Never a problem with my 1 stock Kimber mag that came with the gun. I have several Kimber 8 round pro tac mags and a Wilson combat....all run very good.. For the money I really like the Kimber pro tac mags.

Kimber pro tacs offer----
3 different butt plates.
Numbered witness holes.
Good follower.
Usually a good price.

It bugs me the way Wilson mags stick out of the base of the gun 1/8 of an inch.. But they are great mags too.

Hey Ya'll!

I have 3 magazines for my Custom Stainless II, a Kimber 7 round stainless, a Kimber 8 round stainless and a Chip McCormick 8 round stainless. All three work perfectly! I have never had a failure to feed in over 6 years that I have owned this pistol. No complaints about Kimber mags here!!:cool:

I bought two of the 7 round Kim-Pro Tac mags for my Ultra last Nov. I have only got to fire around 100 rounds thru them but they have performed without a hitch!

I now have 9 8 round KimPro Tac-Mag's along with 4 Wilson Combat mags. I drank the "Kimber crap mag kool-aid" when I got my first Kimber, that's why I have the 4 WC. It didn't take long for me to figure out that the Kimber magazine was as good as any other quality magazine out there or that a magazine should be occasionally broken down and cleaned if you want it to continue to function properly. As long as my Kimber mags continue to run trouble free I'll continue to use them. Why pay $30+ dollars for a mag when I can get KimPro's for $20.00?

In my opinion (I know, everybody's got one and most people are one) any skirted mag seems to work for me. The OEM mag that came with the gun was not skirted, the follower easily rocked forward and back, and it's the only mag that gave me FTF. Was the FTF the mag's fault. IDK. But after changing to mags with skirted followers I've had zero, nada, nein, nunca, no FTF/FTE issues at all. She's running like a Swiss watch.

The only equipment failure on my Kimber is the five-fingered aiming device attached to a semi-blind transport system.

That's cool. But I actually like the looks of it
But to the OP's concerns the Wilson and Kimber mags work just fine for me. Some are miffed that the Kimber mags are flush and take an ounce of extra effort to engage. Might bother me in a gunfight but not at the range;)
