Bought a base Micro Carry and ordered grips for a Colt Mustang from VZ Grips. Grips are very nice, but unlike the Mustang, the Micro has grip screw bushings instead of tapped holes in the frame. Custom grip makers will have to cut the bushing/grip screw holes in the Micro grips as they do for regular 1911 grips. So don't order custom grips for the Micro until the makers catch up.

At the same time the grips were ordered I ordered three spare Metalform magazines for the Colt Mustang and they work fine and are nicely made. They do not have removable base pads, however.

Thanks for the info. Not surprised the grips didn't fit. Not a whole lot of grips are interchangeable other then 1911's. I am surprised the magazines fit for the same reason. Have you shot your Micro with them yet? Either way we need a range report.

I know this is an old thread and this is probably a dumb question, but does this mean that Micro grips will fit on the Mustang, but not the other way around?

If they fit I would love a pair of Micro Crimson Trace grips for my mustang
