I was a tad nervouse hoping I made the right choice of trading my Custom ll

24 round break in per Kimber. 100 rounds of Winchester NATO 124 grain FMJ

1 FTE. It was around the 85th round my wrist just went crack! That's it! Perfection! My friend also had a FTE but his gorilla hand got pinched in the side release so it his fault, lol.

Recoil was a none issue! I will carry this Solo as of today with 100% confidence.

I prepared by using 100% Frog Lube. Tear down then Frog Lube to clean and wiped it down clean and dry. Broke out the blow dryer and got each part HHOOTTTT. Wiped each part with a small paint brush covered every inch in the Lube. Let everything sit an hour, and a simple wipe down. Results was an epic range session.

I'm glad you had a good day at the range with your Solo but I would never certify a gun ready for carry status with only 100 rounds through it especially with the Solo's history. Put another 4 or 5 hundred trouble free rounds through it and I'd agree will agree with you.

Nice OP! Haven't seen one of these up close but I'm considering it for my wife. She carries a Glock 19 right now. It's a tad bulky in my opinion but she loves it. maybe I can talk her into the SOLO.

Let her get her hands on a Solo and its a done deal. The Block 19 is a nice piece, but it's a duty weapon. The Solo is a nice ccw low profile, easy shooting 9mm goddess.

POP!! that was my balloon of happiness. But good advice is good advice! Load the mag with 6 rounds and let it cook.

Guess Ill have to just settle on my Kimber SS Ultra Raptor II with Wilson Combat magazine loaded with 230 ball ammo goodness to be my stopper! Poor me!LOL

Poor you. LOL

You could still put the Solo in your pocket as a backup, just so she doesn't have to stay home alone. :D

Though I wasn't smart enough to use my smart phone to take pics, the Solo was dead on for self defense. IMO

At 30 feet, not yards, 30 feet, center of mass was grouping was above the naval and not above the pecs. Shot really nice. Head shot with 1 mag just for fun were 2 on 4 were close just missing both to the left and right. again head shots too were at 30'. Not practical I know just wanted to see.

At the Scottsdale gun club members can holster draw to simulate having to draw and fire.
With the Solo and the silhouette now at 10' a folded wallet 3x5 or so center of mass spot on. I drew never taking my eyes off the silhouette and never really even seeing the gun trusting my eyes and pointing ability.

Sorry no pics next 100 rounds I'll be sure to. Just wanted to add that to my initial report on the 100 rounds I fired on Saturday.

Glad to hear your range session went well. I put my name on a Solo wait list today. About a 4 month wait. Your results are encouraging!

I agree with you cleaning and lube before break-in. I have not used Frog Lube. I have had good results with m-Pro 7.

Funny, I just bought a small bottle of that and used it on the TLE and GSG. Slippery stuff. We'll see if it can go 300 rounds this weekend. If I can get the Kimber to go 1000 trouble free I'm going to carry that bad boy once in awhile.
