Kimber Solo Finger Extensions Available

Finally someone has made an excellent finger extension for the Solo. It replaces the original floor plate and comes in silver or matt black anodized metal. Initial contact can be made through:

I understand they're backordered for about 3 weeks, but it's amazing the difference this extension makes. I know the manufacturer so I got one of the first ones and I'm back to carrying my Solo again.

6 round pinky extension?

I've been looking around for any modifications to add a pinky extension to the 6 round magazines.

Has anyone put together a tutorial on how to do one? I've seen plenty of images with pinky extensions added, but can't fine any tutorials on doing one.

Do any of you know of the steps to make such a modification?

GrenZ -- pm me if you would like more info on how I made my extension. Most of the info is in post 10 of the link that Chuck posted.

Chuck -- I contacted MILDEF and have asked for more info on the mag extensions they make. After being informed by Pearce Mags that they wouldn't be making an extension for the Solo, I'm hoping this pans out. We'll see. Here's a 3D rendering MILDEF sent me.

That extension really looks nice, I'll bet that will be a big seller if it's actually brought to market, nice work on following through and contacting these companies.

Icajiga on post #46 of the show your Solo picture thread has a nice extension. I asked him to provide more details on its source, but he has only made one post. I thought he might have one of these new extensions by MILDEF, but no response.

I believe the MILDEF extension is made of stainless steel and will replace the mag floorplate.

Thank you for all of the tips so far, very helpful.

I looked at Icajiga's images, and they look like they're modified Pearce extensions, because looking close to the front of them, they don't have the "lip" in the front like the prototype picture MILDEF supplied you.

Have you received any more information on them? They look good, and what I would like to get, but not readily available, and no price point yet.

I heard back from Sean Kirk @ MILDEF and he sent me the same render of the pinky extension. He said about 2-3 week they should be available.
He asked if I was a reseller, so it looks like they are looking for companies to distribute to.
I still would like to see a finished product, and I am surprised it's taken this long for a company to actually make something like this for the Solo.
