Okay, so I'm new to the Kimber 1911 world. After many months of trolling through web forums and reading up on what others thought was the best model I finally purchased my first new 1911. Its a Kimber Tactical Entry II. When I got it home I was excited to look it over. While I was doing so I noticed that when peering down the barrel I can see a light leak. It's located on the right side at the back of the barrel. From what i can tell it appears to be a gap between slide and frame. My question is, is this normal?

Yes this is perfectly normal, with the gun UNLOADED shine a flashlight into the barrel. Looking at the gun from the rear you will see the light coming out between the slide and frame on the left side of the hammer.
