So I recently broke down and spent the money on a Kimber super carry ultra and outfitted it with a crimson trace LG-451 laser. I am now looking for an either IWB or Appendix carry holster for it please point me in the right direction.

First, welcome to KimberTalk.

Second, congratulations on your Kimber acquisition.

Third, take a look at Alien Gear for IWB. I use one with my Glock 23 and will consider one for my Ultra, whenever it gets here.

First, welcome to the forum from Ohio!! Buying a holster is a lot like buying a pair of shoes. What fits me may not fit you. That said, there are hundreds of holster makers out there that do a real good job. You will have to decide what's right for you. That said, I have several Don Hume PCCH IWB holsters, a Wild Bills Concealment, one of our supporters Alien Gear makes nice stuff. You'll get many more suggestions. Good luck on your search.

I agree that holsters are like shoes but I keep returning back to Crossbreeds for all my carry guns

I liked my crossbreed I had for my other pistol the problem I have seen so far in my holster search is my Crimson trace laser it mounts to the trigger gaurd itself not the pistol grip. When looking at the crossbreed website the holster didn't specify wether it would work or not with the laser.

Thank you all I plan on taking it out and shooting this week.

I have the CTC grips and that is what I'd recommend. Automatic, easy to use, no brainer. if the switch is set to on, then the laser activates with a firm grip. Then the holster can be anything you want.

Had I known then what I know now I would have opted for the pistol grips but I wanted the trigger guard mount so it would be straight on with the barrel.

Give Crossbreed a call and see if they can make you one.

Enjoy your new Kimber. Shoot safely!!:cool:

As for holsters, well, they are quite personal!! Over the years, I have accumulated a fair size box of holsters that I have tried and found lacking for my needs. The laser on your pistol will not make finding a holster easy!! If, like you say, you will remove it, life will be so much better. I am not a fan of IWB holsters, so I have no real good suggestion for you. If, during the summer, light clothing forces me to carry IWB, I use a Don Hume IWB. It is cheap, gets the job done, but I still do not like it! I see it's future in "the box"!!:(:(
