I don't know anything about FP-10,but I use "Gunslick"Ultra Lube gun oil and it works just fine for me.I've been using it on my SCCHD for over a year and a half. When I shoot I normally will only shoot between 50-80 rounds,so it's not getting a real heavy workout and the lube holds up just fine. After every shooting I clean and re-lube the gun without fail.I think just about any type of oil will do the trick however.Just do not use grease on your Kimber.Good luck.

I wonder why Kimber does not want you to use grease? I have used slide glide on my Sigs for years they show almost no wear, I don't use it on pocket carry guns though because of the dirt.

I don't know why,but the manual says "no" so I don't.I use grease on my Sigs also and the rails are still in outstanding condition.

I've always said if it rotates it get's grease. If it slides, it gets oil. For instance, o/u shotgun lugs get grease. Shotgun choke threads get grease. Pistols are only oil.

I've wondered about this myself, I have a friend that uses "Slide Glide" on his Remington 1911 and as far as I know he's never had a problem with it.
