Mag release spring replacement.

It takes very little pressure to turn the catch. It is not a screw. Depress the mag release button about half way and turn the Allen head catch about a third of a turn counterclockwise. The whole assembly then comes out. You will then see how it works.
 
After changing the spring to a lighter one the fully compressed length will be less than the standard one. Which means that the release can pressed deeper which if you use too much force will result in the mag being trapped and not dropping free. I too change to a lighter spring.

Use a 1/4" parallel round file to cut the radius deeper to prevent trapping.
 
If it is your carry gun don't go too light. And ensure the release is not getting depressed causing the mag to unseat due to holster flex etc getting in and out car and other movements.
