I didn't hear about the recall until I read about it on one of the forums. I sent mine via UPS and it arrived 7/19. Came back to me today. Nicely cleaned and a sheet detailing the recall work so I can keep with my firearm case (I personally think that having a record from the factory about recall work is important if the firearm is later sold--unfortunately, I seem to have "great" luck with firearm recalls. This is probably my fifth time across manufacturers). Looking forward to getting it to the range.
That said, for anyone buying a Mako, it would be worth running the serial number of the pistol you're considering purchasing. I happened by a smaller venue gunshow last weekend and saw a Mako for sale (without optic) as "new" but with a serial number in the recall list.
