Hey guys, figured I'd start a thread with some photos of the Micro Carry I picked up yesterday. While I was picking it up I asked to see it next to the Colt Mustang and the P238 so those are below but I also picked up a spare P238 extended magazine and with a small bit of material removed with a dremel it fits! The stock P238 6rd mag will fit perfectly inside the Kimber as well.

Anyways pics below! Range report in a day or two!

I wish Kimber had a extended magazine for the micro but the Sig will have to do for now but I hate how it says sig on the bottom of it :( As of now Kimber only is selling the standard 6rd magazine online so I'll keep an eye out for the 7rd one... fits the wife's hand perfectly

Thanks for posting the pictures, #6 & #7 are the ones I was really interested in. I swear that micro carry is identical to the Sig P238 inside and out.

Try this!!

Use the Dremel to remove the "Sig" from the bottom of the extended magazine!!!

Nice looking little pistol. Thanks for posting the pictures. Be sure to let us know how that modified magazine works out!! This could turn into a business opportunity for you, if it works as good as it looks!!! ;);););)

Some more pics for you guys, this time next to the P238.... The 238 has a much longer spring and the rod on the sig has a machined half moon taken out of it where the kimber is a complete circle on the large end (if that makes sense)

Might not be able to shoot for a little bit now, weekend plans have changed.

Again, thanks for the great pictures, they answer a lot of the questions I had. In your opinion how do the triggers compare, does one feel better then the other or would you say they're both the same.

Garth285... Thank You & Congrats - Anxious for your Range Report!

Let "The Comparison" begin (Kimber Micro vs Sig P238). Excellent pictures - Your the first to start this comparison.

Does the Sig 7-round Mag. Modification effect the Mag. functionality back in the Sig?

What exactly did the Mag.Mod. involve?

Love this Forum Guys (& Gals) - Great Info... Thanks to All

P.S. Wonder if the Grips are interchangeable (i.e. Testing if the Kimber/Crimson LG-478 Laser Grip would fit the P238's)?

I tested the 7rd mag in the 238 and it had no issues, the bottom plastic piece needs to be machined down for a little more clearance for it to lock in. I'm going to tweek it just a little bit more, right now it takes just a little bit to much pressure to seat the mag in the gun... its nothing major but I'd like it to perform as well as stock. I'll get some more photos of that later on.

I was debating on seeing if the grips would fit but next time! I may go shooting this afternoon and ill be able to shoot the sig a bit more as well and compare.

I know for sure the grip on the Kimber is in my opinion PERFECT! Its slightly smaller than the 238 I think and it just fits perfectly even in my big hands but my wife LOVES the grip with the 7rd mag.

By the way she was more excited over the kimber than the necklace I got her hahaha. Great mothers day present!!! I have been trying to get her something to conceal for a long time, even bought the kimber pepper blaster just to keep on her but she a girl with a high dollar taste for guns lol... Well worth it!

FYI if you're looking for ammo for her Micro Carry I can highly recommend Freedom Munitions 100 gr RNFP FMJ reloads. They are a high quality clean burning load, I've gone through about 450 rounds since I got my P238 and I've never had a single problem with them. They show sold out right now but should be back in stock in about a week.

Not to bad, I have a good hookup at my local dealer for $18 for 50 rounds so not bad I'll stick to new loads for now, thanks for the lookout.

Well we finally got to go shoot the micro carry! Man what a smooth smooth gun that is, we only were able to fire 50 rounds threw her but what a great gun. The sights I think are perfect from the factory as we were just shooting at my buddies property and were aiming are maybe 2" wide impromptu targets... I was using my modified Sig P238 magazine and the gun just fits like a glove... my wife showed up me and my buddy when she did a 6 out of 7 rounds right on target compared ot our 4/7 but her dad brought up up shooting the 1911's lol.

No FTF or FTE, there was one time where after the 7th round the slide did not catch the stop that is most likely due to the modified magazine but it fed perfectly.

She is cleaned and we will be heading to the actual range this week to shoot some more but yeah its an awesome gun and my buddy who owns a p238 is going to sell his and buy a Micro he says the trigger is much smoother and the slide is much easier to rack and he just fell in love with the gun also.

I will keep you guys posted... not sure if this is a "NEWB" type of think or not but I have some .380 R.I.P. rounds I'm going to see if they cycle correctly in this gun and I'll let you guys know.
