I just ordered a set of Rosewood grips for my Ultra Carry. They should be here by Friday and I will post up a pic or two. If they are as good as they look and the maker/builder is as good as he sounds, they should be a great addition to the gun.
How about we post up some pics of the grips we have added to our guns? I can't believe I am the only one that likes to add a bit of class and personality to my guns.
Attached is a set I recently added to one of my Brownings.

I received permission from the maker to post his advertising photo of the grips I bought

I switched out the original panels with these Sambar Stag's I found on eBay. They were not made for the bobtail handle so I modified them easily enough with my drill press, sanding wheel and finally some 600 grit.

They look great against that black gun. I had considered bone but finally settled for the wood. You did a nice job of fitting them to your model.

The Ultra CDP II is listed as an 8 round magazine. That would be the full size grips.

Is this the general consensus? My 9mm comes with a 7 round mag. Maybe the description of my gun at the auction site was wrong about the 7 round mag?
The Ultra CDP II is listed on Kimbers site as coming with a 7 round magazine. Click Here

I only have one set of non factory grips, these were made by Raasco.

I still don't have this picture thing down yet.

Chuck43 is right. The 9mm takes 7. The 45 takes 8. I should have asked what caliber instead of assuming.

The CDP Ultra II Magazine holds 7, as stated on there site. I just checked mine to re confirm and the mag does only hold 7. Put the mag. in and rack the slide, drop the mag. and reload for the one in the chamber. Pop the mag back in and you are ready with 8.

Kimber America | CDP II - Custom Defense Package

Kimber obviously has some print issues. If you look at the ref. Chuck posted it says one thing, .45 holds 7 and comments that a 9mm is available.

In the ref. above, also from the kimber America site, this comparison chart, (which is where I got my info), says the .45 carries 8 while the 9mm carries 7. I can only guess that either the printed references are incorrect or the numbers are inverted. It is more likely, since the frame size can't change, that the 9mm will hold more rounds than the .45. Roughhouse, how many rounds can you stuff in your 9mm magazine?
