LGS just emailed the CDS9 is back in stock. While usually not the cheapest in the world they're usually competitive... $919 plus 5 bucks for the background. They're downside is they whack you 4% on credit cards, but not on online orders for pickup. Think I'll order and tomorrow when I put my hands on one I can always cancel if I don't like it. Fat chance methinks.
Got the 500 round breakin done on the CDS9 experiencing considerable feed failures, most often the final or next to last round although also in random positions in all my magazines. Matter of fact the very first round failed to feed. I started using Federal American Eagle 124 gr FMJ for break-in on all my Kimbers since that's what they use for test fire. An additional 200 rounds showed no improvement so back to the mothership it went along with all the mags in case they're an issue. FedEx informs me it will be back in my mitts Friday, exactly 10 days since I sent it n in... as usual. If only their QC was as good as their CS. Results when I know them.

Others on here have said when the shells were ejected it took the black finish off the slide where they ejected. Did you have that problem? Thanks.

3 days?!? Do you live next door? 🙃
I was surprised too. They fixed it the day it arrived and mailed it back. Almost like they knew lol.
I’m super happy with the gun overall and don’t regret the purchase of it. It runs great now and is by far my favorite gun of this size. Plus it’s just a great looking gun.

The scallop pattern for cocking serrations on the slide looks nice. They should have kept that going on the front and back strap instead of going with the block pattern. Same for the grip. I own a couple of Glocks and not because they're pretty. To me it looks to "Glocky".

Nice looking pistol, very solid looking.

To each their own.. Don't mean to hurt any feelings but I think they are butt ugly.
No offense taken. I didn’t buy it for you ;) In all honesty, though, I did expect it to run out of the box for what it cost. Other than that, feels good in the hand, shoot flat for its size, has a great trigger, and I like the weight of it.
I have plenty of poly guns that are a dime a dozen.

It looks like a Micro9 version of the KDS9C.
Which it is.

I think it looks good, especially with the S&W scallops.
I think that looks are about the best thing it has going for it.

Hopefully they'll work the bugs out.
You guys that own them need to shoot the shit out of them and don't be afraid to highlight any issues.
If your gonna be a Beta tester, at least do the testing.
😁

Mine had RTB issues. Sent it to Kimber had it back in three days. Replaced extractor and polished feed ramp. Zero issues since and a few hundred rounds through it since I got it back.
Kimber just received my CDS9 AND! my Micro 9. BOTH!! Have feeding issues with 115 grain ammo. The micro persisted threw 600 plus rds. That is till I switched to 125 grain ammo. The CDS9 started at about 200 or so rds and continued till I lost my shit at about 1100 rds. High Hopes...

Hope they get this resolved for you. Mine is still working great since I got it back and just put another 100 through it yesterday.

I had feeding issues with the CDS9 and just polished the extractor myself. Over 1000 rounds since and zero issues.

I bought a Masc leather holster designed for the S&W CSX as I expected it to fit my Kimber CDS9. To my surprise, the holster was too small for my Kimber. Luckily, I was using a Versacarry leather holster for my CSX, and it holds my Kimber CDS9 quite well. So for now, I’ll get by with what I have, and wait for the holster companies to catch up. As a big fan of Masc Holster I may have to wait for them to add this new Kimber to their lineup.
Do you have a picture of the cds9 in that holster? Do you think it would it work with a holosun optic?
