Hello all, I just purchased my first Kimber and pistol for that matter. I boight a Custom crimson ll. Ihave done the field strip and cleaned it I have yet to make it to the range hoping this saturday. About 3 months of research went into this purchase between my kimber, colt and a rock island. Was able to shoot all 3 and tje kimber was just more comfortable and felt natural along with the research decided I really couldnt go wrong.
I am new to tje pistol world and already feeling addicted. This forum has been an amazing research tool. One of tje main reasons i liked this forum so much was that i saw no real bashing of other mfg's, which I thought was great and also the wealth of knowledge that is shared.
I appreciate being allowed to be a part of it!

Welcome from Ky Shooter. That's a beautiful Kimber and a good choice. Nothing against any other guns people may like, but a lot of SWAT teams do serious testing and choose Kimber for both accuracy and reliability.

I have 1500 through my Pro Carry II that I got for Christmas and have had only one FTF which happened to be right about the time Kimber recommends a spring change.

Anyway, enjoy the forum.

New Gun

Boy you jumped in deep!

That's a pretty Kimber, I am sure it will have friends soon.. it's so true, you can't just own one... you totally got a good start though.

Won't catch me bashing anyone's shooter, my first gun was a Beretta, my second a Sig Sauer, my third another Beretta, and my fourth is a Kimber. I only have the latter 2 now, but they seem lonely and are probably about to be joined by a Springfield and the oldest dirtiest colt 1911 I can get my grubby hands on...
I hunt about 8 mos out of the yr so i have quite a few rifles and shotguns and just decided to mix it up a bit and start shooting pistols with my dad and brother, and I prefer a higher end gun. I buy a minimum of a gun a yr and starting to already feel like another pistol is in my future.
Welcome to the forum from Ohio!!

Enjoy you new Kimber. Handguns are like 'tater chips; you can't stop at just one!!!:eek:

I try never to bash other firearms brands. However, I have been told that Gaston Glock's inspiration, for the design of the pistols that bear his name, was the BUILDING BLOCK!!!! In addition, a very knowledgeable firearms expert informed me that all Hi-Point firearms, once ripe, fell from the tippy top of a very, very, very tall "UGLY TREE"!!! They hit every branch on the way down!!! LOTS OF BRANCHES!!!!

All in good clean fun. :D:D No bashing!! ROFL!!! OMG!!

Welcome and congrats,
I have no reason to bash another brand, I live and let live, it is good that we Kimber owners come together in this struggle of life, we enjoy our guns and teach each other about them in the process. Many others could learn from how we conduct ourselves here on Kimber talk, The big K shall be on my lodge for all Kimber owners to see. I am happy with my Kimbers. I hope you will be happy with yours too.

It shall be Kimber!!!

Amen brother, amen.
Welcome to the forum from StLou. Yes this is a Kimber forum but most of us own many other brands besides Kimbers. When I bought a S&W Shield a few weeks ago,I didn't join their forum to learn or ask questions about that gun but I asked them on this forum. We don't bash other brands because when it's all said in done...We're brothers in arms regardless of the logo on the side of the gun..

Boy, I like that one, Jeff.

The "Sig" thread receives quite a bit of attention in here. We love our guns, of all manufacture. It just so happens that our Kimbers brought us together. My Kimber is still my favorite pistol of all time....so far.
