I just purchased a Kimber Pro Carry II and shot 100 first time out and it was great. It is a 9 mm since the rest of my pistols are 9 also but I may consider a 45 next. Great gun and the weight means I will probably be carrying it.

little hole in spring

I was a bit intimidated with the little hole in the spring dealy but after viewing a Utube on the subject it works great. Funny I didn't notice until later that it didn't have the normal 1911 cam at the front of the pistol until later when I got out to the car with my purchase. I saw the little hole and the tool in the kit. After reading the directions I actually tried it in the car and it came apart quickly.

A large town in Texas? Isn't that what y'all call Oklahoma?

Welcome from Ky. I shoot a Stainless Pro Carry II. After you put 800 rounds through yours, you might consider replacing your recoil spring with a Wilson Combat flat wire spring kit (#651). Then you can strip your PC without using a tool. And the spring will last a lot longer.
