I was excited to find there is a new gun store only about 2 miles from my house. Spent some time talking with them. They seem nice, and knowledgeable. They just returned from the Shot Show in Vegas, so I suppose they are pretty serious. Their prices are quite competitive, for a smaller neighborhood store.

They are in discussions with another party about developing a range (indoor & outdoor) close by, also. Things are looking up. :)

They have also applied to be a Kimber retailer.

:D So, wife and I are driving home after watching grandsons play in a lacrosse tournament. I say, "Hey, you want to see the new gun store?" She says, "Sure, why not?"

We're looking around admiring the toys, socializing with the staff, etc.

Manager recognizes me and says, "Hey, you want to see our 5.56 in the Highland cammo pattern?" I say, "Sure."

It's a Head Down, mid-lenght, 5.56 with a Geissele trigger, anit-walk pin system, etc, etc. It's about $1,900. I like it. She likes it.

She looks at me and says, "Your birthday is next month. Want it?"

It was so hard to say, "Not right now."

Actually, I love 5.56. Fun plinking round. Then I told her about the Savage 111 in .338 lapua and showed her a couple videos when we got home. I'd love that, but have no where to shoot it.

Now that lady is a keeper!! Lucky man you are my friend.
Yes, indeed. If you read my into you'd know it was her idea to buy matching Kimber Custom Crimson Carry II pistols.

Yep, she's a keeper ... for many reasons.
