Been watching and waiting (long-time) for the "Micro Carry .380"... almost bought a "SigSauer P238-380 Extreme". Looking forward to some Reviews, Range Reports, YouTube Videos & Pictures - Hi & Thanks to All.

Close to Retirement - Thinking more about my gun hobby from many years ago in Utah (Sako Rifles in 1970's, Ruger Single Six SS Revolver .22 / .22 Mag. in 1975, Hammerli Virginian .357 Mag. in 1976, Browning Hi-Power 9mm in 1977, SigSauer Mosquito .22 in 2010, EAA Witness Match Elite .38 Super in 2012)... Looking for a Kimber Micro 380 (CCW) (almost a Sig P238) since Illinois now has CCW. Looking forward to getting back to Reloading (Hobby from 1970's). Life got very busy with Family (5 Children), Church, Career, etc..

Also, Looking forward to your Forum.

Hi Walkingman: Lived in Provo & Orem for a few years... then SLC for a few more years. Moved to Chicago Suburbs in Spring of 1980 - Still here. 4 of my 5 kids are married with kids (9 Grandkids), back in Utah. A few years back my mother and 2 sisters lived in St George for a couple of years - I have relatives that helped settle St George back in the pioneer days. Love Logan, have an Uncle & cousins there.

howdy

'sup from NC. That's great IL now has permits. I'm getting my third one now, if it is possible 15 years has passed.....

Reassuring to have the power of the law behind your good judgment and careful handling of firearms, as is our right - so I'm told.

The micro looks awesome. If it is within budget I'd give it a good look. I have the other brand. I didn't know there was a micro on the street and really wanted a nice, reliable single action pocket pistol to replace a Keltec.

Just buy one on gun broker (I think i saw a couple of them there) and let us know how it shoots! The 238 is a great shooter, sometimes I wish for a little lighter trigger - but it is where it should be for the purpose. If I want a buttery, short trigger I can shoot my Custom II etc. The night site thing is a big difference, I think they are pretty important for a go-to carry piece that actually shoots pretty well. You would be well into the $700 mark to add meprolites with the micro, but if the quality is there, then it is just a personal choice.

Good luck with it, and happy shooting.

Give us a range report on that Micro, when you get it!! Pictures are always appreciated!! Some of the guns in your collection are quite interesting. For a long time. I had a wild urge for a Hammerli Virginian in .45 Colt. Now I haven't seen a Hammerli in years. Would love to see a picture of yours!!!

Enjoy your shooting (from a current retired fat, old ex-telephone lineman)! Be safe!!! ;);)

Sorry Lineman73

Sorry - My oldest Son's birth (he is now 37), cost me my Hammerli Virginian .357... He and his 4 other siblings enjoyed their nursery and slept in a "Hardwood Oak Crib" for years, thanks to my beloved Hammerli. Amazing what many of us are willing to give up - for our children.

Side Note: This Son now enjoys shooting all my guns with me and has started his own collection of firearms... We're loving it.

Welcome! My Daughter & Son in Law are moving to Oswego the first of June. I grew up in Galesburg, IL and left when I graduated High School. I have In Laws in Chicago, and Btrothers in Champaign, so there is still some Illinois ties there. Things in the middle of the state aren't as bad as the Chicago suburbs.
