Damn I wish Kimber still did the heavy carry melt treatment, it sure looks nice. Sadly and a little surprisingly I don't have one with that treatment...

I might have some extraction issues. Manually cycling rounds through or clearing the gun, the round barely falls out, if at all. It does not fly out like it should. I'll wait to see how it functions under a live round before making any adjustments to the extractor.

After doing some reading. I guess it's not uncommon for live rounds to not eject in sub 5" models. As long as it ejects empty casings I'll be good. I won't be ejecting live rounds very often anyways. If I do need to. I'll slowly bring the slide all the way back and let the round drop through the magazine well.

Update:
After a few range visits with nothing close to a malfunction. Other than an occasional slide close on magazine insertion. This thing is great. It's well balanced, accurate as hell, minimal recoil. By far my favorite pistol. As far as most enjoyable to shoot, it's even with my Beretta PX4 Storm (incredibly smooth shooter).
I replaced the oem MSH with a blued steel chainlink MSH from Fusion Firearms.
