Just picked up my new Super Carry Pro HD yesterday. Took it down, wiped it down and headed to the range. Holy Moly! I am floored.
I have not owned a 1911 in nearly 30 years, and had actually started to believe the chatter that says the famed quality of the 1911 trigger is just hype. I have never been so happy to prove myself wrong.
Shot 100 rounds of Speer Lawman 230 grain TMJ, followed by 15 rounds of Federal 230 grain +P JHP. 115 rounds, not a single malfunction of any kind, 2-3 inch groupings at 10 yards.
I have 5 Glocks, 3 Berettas, 3 Sigs and a Springfield Armory keeping each other company in the safe. Probably gonna let them be for while. Never has one of those triggers felt this natural or performed this well. I wish someone was giving ammo away, because I can't wait to get back out to the range.
Here's my question, are there others like me, who listened to the 1911 haters, confined themselves to other pistols, and denied themselves a great shooting experience like this for years? If so, what was your first experience, after you stopped taking the blue pill?
