Hi guys....Just ordered my new Kimber crimson ultra carry 2 ( green laser ) ,
I read all the reviews and watched all the u tube videos so hopefully iv made the right choice for my cc . My previous carry was a Ruger 1911 cmd I love the gun but a little on the heavy side and a little conspicuous with summer clothing , so hopefully the Ultra carry will solve those problems ;) .

I should be getting the gun in about a week , cant wait to put a few rounds through it .

Should I clean and lub it straight out of the box or just put a few hundred rounds through it first ? I'd appreciate any input .

Later guys.

Clean and lube according to the owners manual before going to the range.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Joncooper. Congratulations on the new Crimson Ultra Carry II, as Insta-Gator already suggested clean and lube the gun before you take it to the range for the first time. If you plan on doing a lot of shooting that day I'd suggest you take a small cleaning kit along and go over it about every 100 rounds for the first two or three hundred.
