Hi everyone,

I bought my new Kimber Ultra Covert II in 12/13. This my first handgun and learned a lesson. I paid $100.00 over retail. Then when I called Kimber and registered. To my surprise it was made in 2011!!! Well, I was P-Off at me for not asking the questions. I signed paper, it is mine!

Should off went to a Gun Dealer not a mega store. I love the ultra covert II and you could add on for the green, crimson laser only in black not camouflage hand grip. I will be going to Gun dealer on Saturday to check things out.

Kimber did assure me that nothing has changed and sent out a nice package of
How to clean the gun in detail, some oil, cloth and a big manual. :)

This is cool my Dad (not my Dad going) passed away in 95. My cousin Mark has his S&W 22 revolver long that we would shoot when I was a kid. I will turn 57 on 04/09/14. My Dad bought it 57 years ago just after I was born. The price was around $40.00.

And my cousin always said if I get a permit I give it to you. I live in NYS Onondaga CO. And with the safe act, pistol permits is a minimum of 12-18 months wait due to demand.

Have a nice safe weekend.

Mark, yes I did drink too much coffee:eek:

I guess Governor C has never heard of: "...shall not be infringed." 12 to 18 months certainly seems like an infringement to me.

Often times a weapon will lounge around the shelves for a while. I wouldn't be concerned about it. Your is an pricey weapon. Given the area and the laws, I think it's understandable.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Marksviper. Congratulations on getting the Ultra Covert II, I've got a friend that has one, it's sweet gun. I wouldn't worry about the year it was made in, nothing has changed in them, new is new, enjoy it.

Welcome from Florida. 12 to 18 months sounds like a good excuse to move to Florida when you retire
