Had a friend show up at the range where I shoot with A Luger made in 1904 with matching numbers on the gun and Magazine, got to put 50 rounds through it , Had never shoot one before very smooth action but the sights for my old eyes where very hard to see.

I've never had the opportunity to shoot a Luger that old but I've shot a 1938 S42 many times. It's not a wonder that the Luger was one of the guns in the running when the military was looking for a new sidearm and chose the 1911.
