I wanted to buy his and hers Sig P938s for the wife and I. I found a good deal on the one I wanted on GB yesterday and bought it. She thinks that owning two of the same is silly. We have had this "discussion" more than once. I like the idea of having the ability to share magazines, accesories etc. She would prefer to spend the money on a different gun since we share.

I am curious to hear other opinions on owning more than one pistol of the same caliber pistol .

It depends. If I see a cheap milsurp, I might pick up a couple. Or, as in the case of Kimbers, I might, over the years, get some different styles of the same gun. for instance, I have a couple of Custom II's that are different colors that I have picked up over the years. Or maybe I'll get a handgun to customize and one to keep stock.

I think it also depends on how many guns you have.

And most importantly, buy her what she wants and likes. I would never presume to tell my wife what un she should use- I'd be a dead man.

Gmountain my problem is that I bought the one I prefer and she decided it should be hers. I'll have to keep my eyes out for a 2nd one at a good deal. My biggest issue is finding another as the ones she liked are much more common than the one I prefer. Luckily she won't really be upset if I do she just will think I'm "dumb"! :D

Guilty! None of them are the "exact" same pistol but there are more than one pistol of the same caliber that I have.

I have a crimson ultra 2 love the gun its a keeper , but I also want an ultra raptor 2 apart from a few hundred bucks difference and some really nice aesthetics , plus you cant find em anywhere :-( I would think they probably shoot about the same. So if i did eventually get my hands on one I guess you could say they are almost the same gun....Almost.....

So the one I bought wasn't her preference. I like the rubber grip with the finger grooves which I bought. She likes the Scorpion, Extreme or AG. I bought the gun with her blessing and then she preceded to let me know that it will be her carry gun but that I could shoot it too like we do with all our other pistols! She even looked at grips online already in case she wants to change them.

I am curious to hear other opinions on owning more than one pistol of the same caliber pistol .
