Photos: Cocked and Locked
Is it just me or does it seem almost all photos of 1911s are taken with the pistol cocked and locked? Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy looking at the photos and dreaming of each model fitting firmly in my hand. But I was just wondering if there was something special about 1911s being cocked and locked. Other firearms, not even revolvers with big 'ol hammers, don't usually have the hammer back for photos.
