I've read stories about the first production run Solos and their problems.

Does anyone know at what point they have improved their QC by using the serial numbers as a refernce, if possible?

Thanks in advance

Don't know at what point, but my recent Solo CDP (LG) purchase is SN#S11310xx. After around 300 rounds of a mixed assortment of factory ammo, I've noticed no feeding/extraction problems. No light primer strikes, either.

It appears Kimber has sorted out the issues with early production Solo handguns.

Hey, I just got my Solo CDP last week. The serial number starts with a "K" and not "S" like all Solo's I've seen from online auction/retailers.

I called Kimber and the rep said he wasn't aware of any Solo serial number beginning with the letter "K" but once he enters it into the system it shows up to be a valid serial number for the Solo CDP-LG. Manufacture date was 8/2013. The guy checked with Kimber's sales team but wasn't able to tell me if there were any difference with the "K" and "S" serials. Anyone here has any clue on the deal with the K's serials?

Thanks,

If you complete Kimbers Purchase Confirmation, Kimber customer service can establish email communications based on your Solo's serial number history.
