The morning news has run two pieces on "smart guns" in the last hour which I believe is just another disguised attack on our 2nd amendment rights. If they were to become mandatory how long would the government take to develop equipment to remotely render them useless?

Ain't happening. Too many states have taken control of their 2A position and consumers won't buy the damn things. So, it's another waste of development money.

The gist of what they reported said that the idea was to make them available then slowly outlaw non smart guns model by model. Eventually making all non smart guns Illegal to own.

I think the good state of Utah will tell them where exactly they can put their smart guns and pull the trigger. We are sooo tired of govt. intervention into our daily lives that this idea will be met with much resistance. However, The anti-2nd amendment groups are well organized, well funded, and working hard at proliferating the myth that gun control will fix everything. And there are a lot of really stupid people out there. Can you say Chicago?
