HA! Good to go in regards to the "idiot scratch". The LGS did this to it right before the sale, which knocked the new sale price down to $1300 for me this past June.

Hated the fact that it doesn't even have a round fired through it and it shows scratches from the LGS showing me the differences between a Kimber Custom II and a regular Series 70 1911. The Sales Manager took off the $200 because the Sales Rep damaged this Raptor II and (apparently) a couple of other 1911's in the shop.

I would try to buff them out, but I don't want to make things worse (plus, I wish to be up front with everything on this pistol).

Excellent pics.

Arland would probably snap that up if it weren't for the idiot scratch (standard term for the scratch, not the person).
Exactly what I was thinking.
If I wasn't ready to pounce on a SA35 soon when one is found, I'd have this one on the way. On stainless, that idiot scratch would not be an issue to remove.
Nice bundle, fair price. Shouldn't last long.

Idiot scratch and the two notches on the other side. How they happen?
Either one, I鈥檇 get them ironed out no problem. Wish I had the money.

I had my two other Kimber 1911's "stacked" on top of this one trying to set up my photo shot of them next to each other and they slipped/fell over, resulting in the two scratches on the right side under the serial number.

Google and YouTube "surfing" now for best ways to buff out/remove light surface scratches from stainless steel...

I鈥檇 be careful and/or sell as is. I resurfaced my Ss Raptor pro and it is tedious to get it right.
They look deep btw.

Noted...

Some of the "How-To's" do not leave a pretty final product. Will leave as is, and let the potential Buyer perform (or not perform) the buffing/smoothing.

It is wisdom, feedback, and good opinions from fellow forum members that I greatly appreciate. Bravo Zulu!

UPDATE:

Price Drop down from $1500 to $1300 for the complete bundle all together w/ shipping. This is only due to the scratches on the frame (see pics and previous forum traffic above).

Let me know if there are any questions, comments, or concerns via this post or by PM. Thanks to all for looking and for forum contributions. Stock Up & Stay Safe!

A few extra pics of the frame to help out. Decided against trying to smooth them out for fear of making things appear worse. Thanks for looking!

Alright, just got back in from PT (sorry for the wait). Left the Raptor II with our Unit Armorer this morning and explained the situation (scratches on frame, not wanting major work done, no damage to anything else, etc.). He's a fellow Gunny, and he is an awesome gunsmith as well off base. I'll quickly upload what he was able to do in the roughly 10 mins he had before he had to go "choke someone"...
