Payed $1200.00 for a good looking paperweight! I have been looking for a couple of months.................
At least you HAVE a paperweight. After purchasing my Solo and shooting the required 24 rounds of 147 grain hollow point ammo, the locking lug on slide was hammered and protruding so much it wouldn't go into battery. I stoned the hammered protrusion down WITHOUT touching the locking lug area, only the protrusion, and shot it again. Did the same thing so I sent to Kimber for repair. Was told I had "altered" the slide AND barrel. Charged me $350.00 for a new slide and barrel or would send it back to me marking it "unsafe to shoot" in their registry. Kimber sent it back to me and had finish worn all the way into the metal on front strap and finish worn off of mag well and barrel dust cover. Apparently having clamped it into their shooting rest improperly. Admitted it was their fault. Have sent it back to Kimber at their request. Haven't got it back yet. They have had the Solo longer than I have.

Wished I'd researched the Solo CDP more before buying and I wouldn't own it, Pretty and small allured me, should have just kept my money and shot my Glock's more to see if I could ever wear out a spring and no specific ammo crap,my be a short term relationship .
