Today I received my Wilson Combat 8 round ETM mag and Wilson Combat Flat spring and guide rod kit # 651. No more stupid tool to strip down my Kimber. The Guide rod is shorter, the bushing fits much tighter then the stock Kimber one and the hole is smaller because the diameter of the guide rod is smaller. I like how easy it is to strip down and the way the slide feels racking.:) No more marring the bushing either with the little tool.

I to like the Wilson combat flat spring and guide rod I also thank the gun is smother with it in and you don't have to change it out as often I think Wilson said about 3000 rounds spring life.

V35b, I feel the gun works smoother with the flat spring installed too. Also loving that it is easier to take down and put back together.

I may have to check into that flat recoil spring and guide. It sounds interesting!! Maybe an old dog can learn new tricks!!:eek:

It's a very easy installation, just remove the old spring and guide rod and replace them with the new ones. The ability to break the gun down without a tool and the extended spring life makes it worth the price.

I put in the WC flat spring kit about a week ago and have run 250 through it. I like the feel, but mine felt smooth before. So, I not sure if I can tell it is noticeably smoother. I would say the spring feels stronger when I rack the slide.

I also got a WC Elite Tactical mag and like it a lot.

The bushing is a tight fit. Putting the spring in seems a little easier than taking it out....but repetition will help.
