Hey gang, so I have thinned out my Kimber line up and am down to only a few:) The ones that are left are near to my heart and what got me into the 1911 platform. Today, I was offered a Series I Kimber Super Match... So, I bought it. Lol.

Anyone who knows me, would laugh and say that is typical as I never say no to a 1911... esp one that I really want. Anyway, I have no experience with the Series I Supermatch. Anyone have one, thoughts, opinions?

I know that the Series I guns are looked at as cream esp since they are 70 series pistols (some dont care I know). I do have a few other questions about this gun... Does Kimber still honor Series I pistols? Are the Series I Supermatch pistols looked at as better than the Series II... I am strictly talking about Supergmatch (no other Kimbers). Does Kimber guaranty 10X 1" groups as they do on the Series II Supermatch?

Love to hear thoughts on this. I got it right and my uncle (who got me my first Team Match gun), has asked me for it... If I give it up, I want to be sure I am giving it to him right and he is getting a highend 1911 as well as one that Kimber stands behind. I am pretty sure I have that covered off on but, I want to be sure;)!

I wish I could help but I've never even seen a Super Match up close. I'd suggest calling Kimbers customer service, they can probably answer some of your questions and maybe give you a little background on your gun.

Nice, not far from me... Straight shot down 355:) I shoot there once in a while! Maybe we should think about found a "Kimber shoot"? Bring a bunch of cool Kimbers and see what we like the best!!

I'm down to a team match II, I'm giving this supermatch to my uncle , another friend of mine just had an eclipse II built (has a coned comp etc on it)... You bring a Kimber or two... Whoever else on the forum wants to come can.

It would give folks the opportunity to shoot and try a few diff guns. Just a random though.
