ANY shooting is bad. As responsible gun owners and sport shooters we understand our responsibilities and take them seriously.

So, do not let your local liberals twist this into a call for more gun control or get away with the "See, I told you this would happen in gun-friendly Georgia."

Please look at this photo carefully. This is the scene at the FedEx crime scene.

It was on the national news earlier this morning shortly after it happened.

Heard emergency room doctor on the radio describe the wounds as being made by a shotgun blast.

Seriously, someone with a shotgun is able to get into a gun free zone and shoot unarmed workers? I expect if it were NOT a gun free zone, the shotgun would have caught the attention of some armed citizens and this guy would have been stopped well before there were six victims.

From what I've read, it was one of the their employees. Brought in a shotgun and wounded 6 before he shot himself.

Gary summed it up perfectly!

CBS news just reported the shooter had an assault rifle, knife and ammo strapped across his chest like Rambo. They are really playing this story up here on the local news. They also mentioned that a 14 year old girl shot and killed another 14 year old girl over a fight about a boy on facebook.

Did they happen to mention that in both of these reports that the shooters were already breaking the law, therefore additional laws restricting gun ownership would not have helped? I didn't think so.

If there were half this many handguns inside I doubt this would have happened

Trying to convince people that banning guns from an area doesn't make it safer, it makes it more dangerous is next to impossible. They just don't understand that it's not the good people that honor those signs that they have to fear it's the bad guys that don't give a rats ass about a sign or a law.

We defend our President, Congressmen, Governors and Courts with guns. We protect our children and work places with a sign that says "This Is A Gun Free Zone" and when the shit hits the fan we call someone with a gun.

shooting

Why do people have to do this? I know, silly question. What a shame.

My hope is that this nut did not have a concealed carry permit. I am going through another renewal right now, with the associated mental health background checks here in NC. One hopes that the really sick people are denied the privilege and responsibility to carry a firearm.
